My macrame story...

​

It all started in the early 70s as a teenager growing in Puerto Rico. I found a few books about macramé and I began practicing and learning and before I knew it I started making money for all my personal things.  I was passionate and very creative in my designs. It became my number one hobby and it has lasted a lifetime. 

​

I continued to make them thru the 80’s while I lived in New York but between raising my girls, working full time and attending school it became harder and harder to spend time making them, so one day I packed them away...😔

​

Couple of years ago, while looking thru my storage unit I found my old box of macrame supplies and found that I had enough cord and beads to make a special basket for one of my girls, which now hangs in her beautiful kitchen.

​

Fast forward to a couple of months ago while staying with my daughter for a couple of weeks, she inspired me to pick it up again by purchasing all kinds of supplies and enticing her girlfriends to purchase them.... that did it!!!

​

That’s all it took! I began making baskets with intricate designs and each one unique.  I made wall and mason jars hangings and  I haven’t stopped since then. I’m so glad it’s back in my life. Back then it was my hobby but now is simply therapeutic to my soul. It’s truly a passion for me and one I want to share with you!
